Seeking God through prayer is one of our core beliefs. In the same way we are a missions movement, YWAM is a prayer movement.

In light of the recent global turmoil, characterized by both tragedies and triumphs, our mission is navigating an important season of transition. We are experiencing unprecedented opportunities and it’s vital for us to carry our own prayer mantle, to keep our fire burning on the altar (Lev. 6:13), and to be our own Moravian Lampstand.

We’re inspired by The Moravians who pioneered a missional legacy through night and day prayer for over 100 years. They used the symbol of a lampstand as a commitment to a 24-hour prayer watch, representing the light of prayer and devotion to Jesus that was meant to shine continuously.

We plan to launch a month-long, day and night, prayer and worship online initiative for October 2024! We are looking for teams from YWAM campuses worldwide to commit to 1- to 2-hour weekly shifts of prayer and worship, which will be streamed online for anyone to participate.
